Letter to Honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi

To Respected,
Honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi Ji,

The whole of humanity is currently facing a tough time fighting the Corona Pandemic, probably the toughest in our lifetimes. We, the people of India are very fortunate to have you as the Prime Minister at this critical juncture, saving the nation and safeguarding the citizens of our Great country against all odds. In the wake of the Corona pandemic, by your timely and well-thought action, the entire country has been put under lockdown for 3 weeks. We completely understand that lockdown is very essential for the welfare of our country and citizens. As always, we support you and your decision and stand by you in eradicating the Corona epidemic from our country. In fact, we have fabricated hundreds of cloth masks and distributed them to all essential workers. Through this email, we wanted to bring to your kind notice, the adverse effect of the pandemic on the weavers and small scale textile manufactures of our Country. Due to the lock-down, and the scare of the virus spreading through textiles, the entire sector is facing a lockdown that is expected to continue not for 3 weeks, but at least for the next 3 to 6 months. Textile businesses, weaving factories, and handloom cottage industries are completely shut down not only for the lockdown but would not employ people till the demand picks up.

Most of the handloom and power loom weavers are daily wage earners and have lost their job and wages. Most of the weavers and their families are already in debt, living in rented houses and now are left with no money. In a few days, most of the weavers in our country will undergo a very tough situation wherein they will be not able to feed themselves and their families.  We request you to kindly consider the difficulties the weaving community is facing and do the needful to ease the burden of the weaving community in such unprecedented times. We earnestly request you to please arrange for providing enough financial support to all the weavers for their basic daily needs through Aadhar linking so that the benefit directly reaches the most affected.  Kindly consider this proposal and help us in fighting this pandemic and its ill-effects, together.

Jai Hind.
Bharath Maata ki Jai !!!

Thanks,
Devanga World Team

Comments from Sri Uttam Ji

An advice to Chairman World Dewangan trust wet ti their letter to Honorable Prime Minister.( Sorry, I could not find  the dare in his letter when it was written)

 Shri Arun ji Varode
President National Dewanga Samaj

Shri K Senthil Kumaar
Chairman
World Devanga Charitable Trust
Banglore.
Through Vice Chairman
Sri Mahesh Kumar Dewangan
Vice Pesident National Dewangan Samaaj
Respected Shri K.Senthil Kumar

Let me appreciate the effort made by you and your team for supporting the nation through our Honorable Prime Minister by providing mask at the outset of big crisis due to worldwide pendium CORONA and also for asking a due support for our  laborers belonging to Dewanga Community. attached to weaving business and Industry to help them for their sufferings.
But  Sirs, I have a strong disagreement for the demands made by our world level Devanga trust at this pitiable juncture of time when the whole humanity is suffering worldwide for the reasons as

Narrated below: -
1. Already Govt. has come forward with the packages they announced for have nots the down trodden category who dont have to meet their two times meal. So we should not demand any thing more at this juncture of time when life of all citizens in our country are at the stake.
2. Sir, I was in VISL Bhadravati Karnataka for about 4 years and feel proud to see  lot of people from our Devaga community are in respectable positions both in Silk cloth and Saree  business by power looms & running big Show rooms and many are in hughly responsible positions in Govt  Service. Many Ex. and Existing MLAs and Ministers fron Dewanga community are also there in Karnataka Costituency. They are in no way inferior to any developed societies being guided by our Dharm Guru Sri Sri Datyanand giri ji Maharaj at Hampy. Same is the case with our big big businessman in Champa in Chhattisgarh under the valuable guidance of our Ex MLA Shri Motilal ji Dewangan who do business in Germany also if I am not wrong.
Hence Our first responsibility towards this down troddens have nots is to help them ourselves to our level best. The World Devanagari Charitable trust is not a small Group. No samaj can prosper if they continue to live on the mercy  of Govt.adds or on others help. Let the competent personalities to come forward for their help. Otherwise middle man will automatically develop and take advantage by themselves at cost of poors. Our Sikh and Sindhi community are the burning examples. Let the big shots to open their hearts  for developing funds for our poor community
People and start praying rhe Govt atleast after the locked down period is over. Let the self pride be our first motto. Hope our great charitable trust will take this matter into their line of action.
The community which has taught and brought the great civilisation to the mankind be upper hand and not in a begging position. ‌I would also like to post an incident of chhattisgarh which has brought this instance to national level.

Reply and comment from Sri Arun Varude Ji

Uttamji,

I have thoroughly gone through the letter sent to PM by devanga trust having no date. First of all, this trust is independent and doing community service in there ownway , and they have freedom to do that and I don't represent them. Being All India president, what I see is that,The trust demanded some help for weavers for future, after this situation is over, it should not be treated as BAGING.It is a demand and the way to bring condition of weavers in the notice of PM. Ur point that community rich and big people should come forward to help the poor and needy community people, is good, In respect to ur above point I want to bring to ur kind notice that as and when situation arise community leaders come forward to help our poor and needy persons. To give few examples, last year flood affected people of our community in some part of Karnataka , maharashtra was given help of food grains and cash in the leadership of Swamiji through All India organization, and 2 year before the cyclone affected poor Weavers in coastal area of Andhra Pradesh were helped by state unit under the guidance of AIDDKKF ( All india devang federation). There are somany instances i can quote for ur notice. U also qouted the examples of Sindhi and Marwadi community, Uttamji they are Rich and wealthy communities and they have the gins and traditional values of helping ( दानशूरता). Our community just started uniting from last some years at state and national level,  i am sure community will emerg in future as economical and political force with the help of people like u. It's good that u r taking interest in community activities and people like u in the community are assets to the community. Pl feel free to contact me   for further information and discussion.

Thanks
